Pizza, Price, and a Slice of Ambivalence

Strolling through the charming streets of Monte San Savino, I stumbled upon Ostematto, a pizzeria with a name that promised a touch of whimsy. Intrigued, I couldn’t help but wonder, “Will this be a memorable love affair, or just a fleeting fling over dough and cheese?”

The pizza? Good, but not extraordinary. Think of it as that one date who ticks all the boxes but does not quite sweep you off your feet. The crust had a satisfying crunch, and the toppings were fresh, but it lacked that special spark—the kind of bite that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over.

Then there’s the matter of the prices. Let’s just say I felt like I’d wandered into a designer boutique: tempted but with a wallet begging for mercy. For a pizzeria, the bill felt a little too steep. If you’re going to charge me like this, at least make me feel like it’s a story worth telling.”

All in all, Ostematto delivered a decent evening, but I could not help wondering if Monte San Savino has other culinary gems hiding in its cobblestone corners—perhaps ones that won’t make me feel like I need a credit card detox afterward.
